Gap measurement for photovoltaic modules
13.07.2009
The French company Vincent Industrie has developed a new technology for the manufacture of photovoltaic modules. The weak point of many conventionally produced modules is the long-term sealing of the cell against external influences. Conventional modules are fused with a transparent plastic layer which can become porous over time. In the case of the developed NICE method, the module is evacuated and thus permanently sealed. Confocal sensors in the optoNCDT 2401 series are used so that the gap between the front and rear side can be maintained exactly. They measure the gap through the glass with micrometre precision.
