New measuring ranges for scanCONTROL

The profile scanners of the scanCONTROL 2700 and 2710 series are now also available with 50mm measuring range. The models in the 27x0 series have a compact housing with integrated controller and boast an equally impressive price/performance ratio. The compact sensor makes it ideal for  use in automation solutions where space is often restricted. Typical measurement tasks for the scanCONTROL 2700 and 2710 are the measurement of angles, steps and positions. The same is also possible for profiles such as adhesive beading, weld seams, grooves and gaps.

The scanCONTROL 2700 acts as a pure data supplier and provides the measured points; the profile calculation is performed externally using corresponding software. If the scanCONTROL 2710 measuring system is used, the information is calculated directly in the sensor and in this way the measuring system can be operated without additional PC and programming effort. scanCONTROL 2710 is used for example to measure angles, gaps or radii and calculates the profile information internally.
