Miniature infrared camera in high resolution

PR233-TIM400-35px The latest additions to Micro-Epsilon’s miniature infrared camera range are the thermoIMAGER 400 and 450. These two new models offer extremely high optical resolution of 382x288 pixels.

New generation of confocal measurement technology

PR231-confocalDT_35px ConfocalDT 2451 and 2471 are the latest high performance controllers in Micro-Epsilon’s confocal measurement range. Due to excellent signal-to-noise ratio, measurement rates of 10kHz are achieved using an LED and 70kHz using a xenon light source. For the first time, a high performance CCD array is installed as the sensor element in the controller, developed by Micro-Epsilon in a robust industrial housing. The unique active exposure regulation of a laser line enables rapid, precise surface compensation in dynamic measuring processes on a range of different target surfaces. ConfocalDT is the first controller that offers Ethernet, EtherCAT, RS422 and analogue output interfaces. The sensors are therefore extremely flexible and can be easily integrated to existing systems.

Inspecting adhesive beading on car windscreens

A new high-speed inspection system has been developed for the automobile industry, based on Micro-Epsilon's scanCONTROL 2710 system. It detects the quality of adhesive beads as soon as they have been applied during the vehicle assembly process.

Draw-wire sensors with a plastic line

The use of a "wire" of synthetic material in draw-wire sensors is ensuring additional application areas for the wireSENSOR P85 sensors from Micro-Epsilon. Thanks to its high tensile strength, its low expansion and extremely long service life, it is technically equal in every way to conventional steel wire while its lower weight is a further bonus

Capacitive gap sensor

The new capacitive sensors from Micro-Epsilon capaNCDT CSG are specially developed to measure gap width. Sensor electrodes are applied to the top front and back on a circuit board that has a width of 20cm. Using the sensor electrodes and the differential method, the gap width can be determined very precisely while moving the sensor into the gap.

Gap measurement by laser scanner

PR225-gapCONTROL_35px The new gapCONTROL laser scanner from Micro Epsilon has been developed specifically for non-contact gap measurement. The sensor is based on laser light section technology, though it makes use of a totally new evaluation procedure.

New member of the Micro-Epsilon Group: INB Vision AG

PR222-INB-Vision AG_35px The Micro-Epsilon group continues to grow and in November 2010 took over INB Vision AG, based in Magdeburg, Germany, after it had entered a status of protected bankruptcy. INB is boosting the Group's expertise in the field of 3D image processing systems for surface inspection.

Second version of scanCONTROL Configuration Tools now available

PR221-ConfigurationTools2_35px Micro-Epsilon has just launched a new version of its scanCONTROL Configuration Tools software, enabling scanCONTROL laser scanners to be configured quickly and easily using a Windows PC. All sensor settings can be carried out using the software. In addition, profiles can be displayed, loaded, saved and exported.

New eddy current sensors with integrated EEPROM

PR224-eddyNCDT3100_35px A company renowned for its eddy current sensors, Micro-Epsilon, is now offering a completely new series of eddy current sensors. The new eddyNCDT 3100 series includes a special, compact controller and corresponding new sensors. Sensors and cables are equipped with an integrated EEPROM chip, which includes all critical characteristics.

Color sensors from Micro-Epsilon

PR220_Farbsensoren_35px As of 1st April the company Eltrotec Sensor GmbH will be operating as Micro-Epsilon Eltrotec GmbH. Therefore, Eltrotec is now much closer to the company group Micro-Epsilon. The company Eltrotec will focus on non-contact sensors, its core competency. The company will reduce its core competence to three sectors color detection, optical micrometers and endoscopes.

Displacement sensors with a blue laser

Micro-Epsilon presents at first a triangulation sensor that utilise Blue Laser technology. In numerous applications, Blue Laser sensors are superior to standard sensors that use a red laser diode.

Defect detection on painted surfaces

On 28 October 2010, Micro-Epsilon was proud to present a local workshop for the company’s robot-based system reflectCONTROL. This newly developed measurement technology monitors paint defects on car bodies following paint line processing. Forty well-known guests throughout the world registered for the presentation of the new system.

Low cost laser distance sensor offers high reliability

The new optoNCDT ILR 1030 complements Micro-Epsilon's existing range of economical, low cost distance measurement sensors. The new sensor offers a measuring range between 0.2m and 8m on diffuse reflective surfaces, even as high as 50m when using a reflector plate.

Laser sensor for food and process manufacturing industries

Micro-Epsilon has developed the new optoNCDT 1402SC sensor series, which is ideal for demanding environments such as the food and process manufacturing. With a stainless steel enclosure that provides class IP69K protection, the sensor is resistant...
