Inductive gauges from the DTA-xDx series are used for contact measurement of distance, position, and movement in industrial production processes. The sensor housing contains a freely movable plunger. If it changes its position, this change is detected via the AC voltage in the sensor and a precise measurement value is output.
The sensors impress with their high accuracy and repeatability, versatility, and long-term stability. This wear-free measuring method is used in factory automation, quality assurance, test environments, building monitoring, and for simple measurement tasks in machine building.
Following the optimization of the range, the products with measuring ranges of ±15 and ±25 mm have a reduced housing diameter and can therefore be accommodated in confined installation spaces. This means that numerous new applications are possible with the induSENSOR DTA (LVDT) series.
In addition, customers can now also order linearized measuring systems that form a single unit. This can improve linearity for high-precision measurement tasks. With measuring ranges of ±3 mm, linearity values in the single-digit micrometer range can be achieved.
For series applications, further adaptations to customer requirements can be implemented economically even for medium-sized batches. Thanks to Micro-Epsilon’s large modular product range, these sensors can be used easily and cost-effectively in multi-channel solutions. Numerous interface modules facilitate connection to modern bus systems.
