Abstands- und Dickenmessung mit höchster Präzision

The highest precision in distance and thickness measurements of surfaces is made possible with the new confocalDT IFS2407-3 from Micro-Epsilon. This confocal sensor for displacement and thickness measurements operates with a maximum tilt angle of ± 30°. Therefore, the sensor achieves stable measurements even on curved surfaces and outputs highly accurate results.

Confocal chromatic sensors are among the most demanding measuring systems in optical metrology. They are used for precise distance measurement on different surfaces and for thickness measurement of transparent materials. State-of-the art technology with the confocalDT IFS2407-3 offers a high tilt angle up to ± 30°. Therefore, curved and structured surfaces can be detected reliably and precisely. Furthermore, the sensor operates with a large measuring range of 3 mm, a numerical aperture (NA) of 0.43 and a high offset distance of 28 mm. Combined with a larger tilt angle, these sensors are ideally suited to geometrical inspection tasks in coordinate measuring machines. Particularly when measuring surfaces such as gear wheels or external threads, stable and highly precise results are output.

Due to the non-contact measuring principle, the sensor does not affect the target object, which enables wear-free measurements. This is how the values can be detected much faster than with tactile measuring principles. Together with the confocalDT controllers, the sensors achieve measuring rates up to 70 kHz. The confocalDT series from Micro-Epsilon offers the highest dynamics and precision.
