Large distances precisely in view

The new optoNCDT ILR1041-150 laser distance sensor enables reliable distance measurements of up to 150 m. Thanks to the time-of-flight measuring principle, integrated IO-Link communication, and robust design, the sensor is ideal for demanding automation tasks, even under challenging environmental conditions.

With the optoNCDT ILR1041-150-IO, Micro-Epsilon is expanding its portfolio of high-performance laser distance sensors with a particularly compact model for measuring ranges of up to 150 m. The sensor works according to the time-of-flight measuring principle and enables fast and reliable distance measurements – even with changing surfaces, dark materials, or strong ambient light. This makes the ILR1041-150 ideal for demanding applications in automation, logistics, construction machinery, or in the field of renewable energies.

High measurement accuracy at long distances

The ILR1041-150-IO covers a measuring range from 0.2 m to 150 m with reflector film. The measuring principle is largely insensitive to stray light and provides stable results even in strong ambient light up to 50,000 lx. The adjustable measuring rate up to 333 Hz allows short response times for dynamic processes. With a resolution of 1 mm, a linearity of ± 20 mm, and a repeatability of < 6 mm, the sensor offers excellent measurement accuracy – even over long distances. Thanks to laser class 1, no additional eye protection is required in normal operation.

IO-Link communication for industrial applications

The integrated IO-Link interface enables standardized, fieldbus-independent data communication and supports modern automation concepts. An analog output (current or voltage) is also available, ensuring flexible integration into existing systems. The compact, robust design (IP67 / IP69 / IP69K) and the rotatable, flexibly adjustable cable outlet facilitate installation in tight spaces. Parameterization and operation can be performed directly on the sensor using buttons and RGB LEDs or via software. With its combination of a large measuring distance, high signal stability, IO-Link integration, and an attractive price-performance ratio, the optoNCDT ILR1041-150 is ideally suited for series use in industrial automation.
